SST personnel have been involved, since long before 9/11, in maritime security for ports and harbors. We have participated in and led vulnerability assessments of maritime threats to coastal facilities, ports and harbors. Our personnel and team have developed conceptual threat mitigations, performed system trades and selected system concepts for detailed analysis and design.

SST has planned and executed the installation of demonstration systems for port and harbor security at critical waterside facilities.

We specialize in the design of systems for long-life, unattended operation of waterside security equipment, whether above or below the surface. Working with our teammates, we are developing systems to protect high-value assets using detection and assessment systems and surface and subsurface barriers.

For the US Navy, SST designed, developed, built and tested a low-cost security barrier for protection of ships and waterside assets from attack by small boats. This design has been continuous, in-water test since May, 2007, surviving several major weather events successfully.   Operational Capability
