SST personnel have been involved, since long before 9/11, in maritime security for ports and harbors. We have participated in and led vulnerability assessments of maritime threats to coastal facilities, ports and harbors. Our personnel and team have developed conceptual threat mitigations, performed system trades and selected system concepts for detailed analysis and design.

SST has performed planning and execution of the installation of system demonstrations at critical coastal facilities.

We have analyzed materials and manufacturing techniques applicable to long life submerged, alarmed barrier systems. We have planned and executed repairs on existing systems. Whether it is a detection system, a barrier system or a combination, our personnel have participated in all aspects of the development and installation process.

SST installed a barrier system demonstration project at a critical port. This system provides an alarmed barrier system for swimmer and vessel threat denial of protected assets.    Threat analysis and system conceptual design allow those responsible for harbor and force protection to evaluate realistic alternatives based on risk and cost effectiveness. Our team then performs detailed designs of the system and provides fabrication, assembly, integration and test of the system.
